Hyaluronic acid injections
When oral pain medication no longer offers sufficient relief, your doctor may recommend hyaluronic acid (HA) injections.
HA is a substance naturally found in the joint fluid (synovial fluid), which cushions the joint. Some HAs are produced through bacterial fermentation, while others are produced using avian sources.
